Born and raised in Arizona, I’ve always been proud to call this state home. My journey to becoming a licensed electrician, however, took a few unexpected turns along the way.

From 2016 to 2020, I proudly served in the military. When I returned home, I found myself looking for the next chapter in my life. I went back to my old high school and began coaching freshman basketball. I enjoyed working with the players, teaching them, and being part of a team again.

Then, one ordinary weekend changed the direction of my career.

My stepdad does a lot of construction work, and one weekend when I happened to have some free time, he asked if I could give him a hand. I didn't know much about electrical work at the time—honestly, I didn't know what I was doing at all. But he showed me what needed to be done, talked me through it, and I jumped in to help.

Something clicked that day.

There was just something about the work that felt right. I enjoyed learning how things worked, solving problems, and seeing the results of what we were doing. I remember thinking that maybe this was the path I was supposed to pursue.

In 2021, I officially began my journey into the electrical trade. After getting hired by an electrical company, I started gaining hands-on experience while also pursuing my education. I enrolled at Pima Community College and completed coursework in electricity, building a strong foundation of knowledge to go along with the experience I was gaining in the field.

After completing my courses at Pima and putting in the years of hands-on experience required, I decided it was time to take the next step. I studied, prepared, and sat for my electrical license exam.

And I passed.

What started with a random weekend helping my stepdad turned into a career I’m proud to be building. From serving in the military, to coaching basketball, to learning the electrical trade from the ground up, every step of the journey has taught me something valuable.

Today, I bring that same commitment to hard work, learning, teamwork, and doing things the right way to every electrical job I take on.

Sometimes you don't find your calling by looking for it. Sometimes, it finds you when you simply show up and lend a hand.
